Our Trip To Mexico

Now that my wife, Heidi, and I are back from Mexico, I wanted to sit down and write a little about our time there. First, this was my first trip to Mexico and really my first trip out of the country. (Being from Michigan, we don’t count Canada.) That said, it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I am not the type of guy who half-asses anything, so for this trip, I told my wife to go all out when it came to accommodations and spending. Having two small kids, I’m not sure when we’ll be able to do it again.

To start off, we went to a resort on the north end of Cancún called Excellence Playa Mujeres. Let me tell you something about this resort—it was absolutely stunning, inside and out. From our room to the pools to the restaurants, everything was as good as it could get. We had customer service like I’ve never experienced in my life. So, if you’re looking for your next Mexico vacation, check this place out!

Now for the truth about my trip. If you follow me on social media, you know I needed a few weeks away to really try and gather my thoughts, reflect on myself, and figure out what I truly want to do with the show. Unfortunately, at first, most of my thinking was bitter—I was pissed off about the past and how things went with my time on the radio. I started feeling resentment and betrayal, which I wasn’t happy about. Fortunately, I was able to pull myself out of that mindset and enjoy the hell out of my vacation.

Again, I cannot recommend this place enough. It was the best vacation I have ever had, but by the end of it, I was ready to get home and see my kids.
