The Debate: Home Alone Vs. HA 2

Alright, let’s settle this once and for all! I love this topic, and now seems like the perfect time to write about it. You can’t make a case for many movie sequels, but I think you can for Home Alone 2, and I’ll tell you why.

First, I think the overall setting of Home Alone 2 is much better than the first. In the original, the story is really confined to the house, while in the sequel, Kevin is causing trouble all over the city. Second, in my opinion, the supporting cast makes a much bigger impact in the second movie. For example, Tim Curry as the hotel manager and Rob Schneider as the bellboy are hilarious. In the first movie, you really only had the old man as a notable supporting character. Oh, and let’s not forget Mr. Duncan, the kind-hearted owner of the toy store in Home Alone 2!

Like I said, not many sequels can hold a candle to the original, but Home Alone 2 makes some strong arguments!
